Sacha McLean
President

Sacha McLean is President of an integrated, dynamic group of companies with business interests in film production (Vancouver Film Studios), telecommunications (Signal Systems), production equipment rentals (Pacific Backlot Services) and aviation (Blackcomb Helicopters LP). Sacha has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. He joined The McLean Group, a family owned and managed group of B.C. based businesses in 1996 where he was instrumental in the formation and expansion of Vancouver Film Studios into one of the largest and most successful production facilities in Canada. In 2004, Sacha lead the successful development of Pacific Backlot Services, a lighting, grip & film equipment rental company. Sacha's telecommunications company, Signal Systems, soon followed with successful business divisions established in IP telephony, two-way radios, repeater tower construction & maintenance, and retail sales. Prior to joining The McLean Group, Sacha worked in corporate development with a major passenger railroad carrier. Sacha is a commercial helicopter pilot and past member of the Vancouver Airport Advisory Board. He is currently a board member of the Whistler Film Festival.

Pete Mitchell
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Pete Mitchell became Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Vancouver Film Studios Group in 2007 after six years as Senior Vice President, Marketing and is one of the two senior non-family officers of the McLean Group. In his expanded role, Pete has overall responsibility for our production facilities and services businesses including Vancouver Film Studios, Pacific Backlot Services, and the film and television offerings of Signal Systems. Pete is still responsible for marketing all of Vancouver Film Studios' services to our customer base keeping the stages full, and for ensuring that customers have a positive production experience. Pete is also past Chair of the Motion Picture Production Industry Association of British Columbia, an industry marketing/lobby Group comprised of 30 film and television related companies, unions and organizations and now leads that organization's government affairs committee. Before joining the McLean Group in 1999, Pete was the Director of the British Columbia Film Commission from 1995 to 1999. Prior to this he was a partner in Compass Research and a business agent for International Photographers Guild, I.A.T.S.E. Pete attended the University of British Columbia, graduating in 1989 with a Master of Business Administration. He completed a degree in Communication Studies at Concordia University in 1986 and received his diplôme d'étudés collégiales from John Abbott College in 1982. Pete is an avid sailor and when not bringing in production deals can be seen plying the waters of the Georgia Strait in his beloved "Crackerjack".

Natasha Dickson
Vice President, Operations
Vancouver Film Studios Group
Natasha is responsible for day-to-day operations at VFS. From telephones to furniture, building maintenance to security, Natasha is ultimately responsible for the prompt and professional delivery of facilities and services to our customers. Natasha joined us in 2000 and quickly demonstrated her talent for customer service and managing people, eventually becoming Vice President, Operations in 2004. Now with the most number of direct staff of all McLean Group companies, Natasha and her team "keep the trains running on time" and our customers happy. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1996 from UBC and received her post-diploma in human resources management from BCIT shortly thereafter.

Gerry Rutherford
VP Production Services
Pacific Backlot Services
Gerry Rutherford joined Pacific Backlot Services in May of 2007 and holds overall responsibility for the lighting and grip, dolly, lift and locations services departments. He has an extensive background in the BC film and television industry: most recently he was consulting for Scarab Digital Studios as the Director of Marketing and Business Affairs, prior to which he was the long-time business agent for I.A.T.S.E., Local 669. He has also represented labour in the Canadian motion picture industry working for ACTRA in Toronto and Calgary and the Union of BC Perfomers in B.C. In addition, Gerry is a member of the Board of Directors of British Columbia Film and also sat on the advisory boards of Capilano College, the Vancouver International Film Festival Trade Forum, the BC Film Commission, and the Victoria Film Commission, among others. He was a principal in the founding of the Motion Picture Production Industry Association of British Columbia (MPPIA) and has represented the BC industry elsewhere in Canada, the US and Europe. Gerry is captain of the newly-formed PBS cycling team.

Greg Gaumont
Controller
Vancouver Film Studios Group
Greg is responsible for the ongoing implementation and maintenance of a top-quality accounting, financial reporting, and financial control system that is adapted to the unique needs of Vancouver Film Studios and our place in the industry. He is exclusively focused on our film studios businesses, including Pacific Backlot Services, and is a key link between our operations staff and our financial management. Greg is a Certified Management Accountant and was previously corporate controller of British Columbias largest mobile ship repair company for fourteen years. Before that, Greg had several controller and accountant positions across Western Canada including significant stints with an oil services company, a steel fabrication company and several real estate development firms.

Theresa, Lead Accountant, handles all payables, receivables and cash flow for both Vancouver Film Studios and Pacific Production Support.

As Marketing Director, Kim is involved with stage bookings and customer service related enquiries. She also handles promotional materials, up-dating the website and public relations.
