About Us

Vancouver Film Studios (VFS) provides the production facilities and infrastructure that have made Vancouver one of the largest centers for film and television production in North America. Home to more than 75 feature films and 60 television projects in the past fourteen years of operation, VFS is a privately owned facility situated on a fully-secured, multi-acre site just 15 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from downtown.

The facilities at VFS include 13 sound stages, 10 of which are purpose-built; production offices in 6 separate buildings; extensive mill space; assigned parking; a private gym; and an on-site Transport Canada registered heli-pad. Through its sister companies, VFS also offers a diversity of production support services unequalled by other facilities.

These services include production equipment rentals (Pacific Backlot Services); telecommunication and IT services (Signal Systems); and a full-service aviation helicopter and jet charter company (Blackcomb Aviation) whose award-winning helicopter pilots share the most extensive list of aerial cinematography credits in Western Canada.
